Our Role: Part of the fun of being a coordinator is that we get to where many, many, hats! We are a mentor, a planner, coordinator, designer, referee, financial advisor, and a friend. The process may vary depending on the service chosen, but our overall approach is very much the same. Even if you choose to have us only coordinate your day as a DOC, we will go over the process and what you’ve planned to ensure that no detail is being overlooked.
Consultation: We start by asking lots of questions and a lot of listening. We share ideas; talk about what inspires you, your thoughts, and your personal style. We pay close attention to what restaurants you love, special places you’ve been, how you spend your free time, and what makes you smile. All of these details help coordinate your overall design concept to ensure we see and exceed your vision.
Design Concept: We approach every wedding as our first. We take a unique approach to pulling together the overall look, feel, ambiance, and flow as well as the little details. Centerpieces alone do not make the environment. We start by talking about how to best use the space or venue you’ve chosen. We work with you closely on pulling together your design.
Decor: Your décor sets the mood and is your opportunity to create a personal environment that is reflective of both you and your fiancé. It is meant to take your guests on a journey to a space that is all your own.
The Tone: As your wedding day approaches, we walk you through to ensure that you've set the tone for what your guests can expect. Favors, music, a menu, and signature cocktails add to the ambiance and the thrill of the evening. Remember, a wedding should capture all five of the senses; from the lighting and decor, to the smell of the flowers, the taste of the cuisine, the feel of the room, and the sound of the music. Choosing a balance that fits each couple is what makes our job truly unique.
Flow: We work closely with your other vendors and the venue to coordinate and synchronize your wedding from start to finish. After all, timing and execution of every detail up until your wedding day are just as important as the day itself.
Set-up: We oversee all of your vendor's and their delivery and set-up duties to ensure you get exactly as you ordered according to your contract along with doing the set-up that we are directly involved in. We ensure what you envisioned, is what you get!
Dismantle: At the end of the night, we will gather your things and give them to a designated person for safe keeping or bring it to a vehicle or room of your choosing.
